What is the ICMA?

With decades of knowledge and experience in the greater-Morton, IL, region and its musical history and future, the founders realized the potential that exists within our local music students to create an atmosphere of fun, engaging, and challenging music making experiences.

As professional musicians and educators, we wanted to bring all of our experiences from across the country back to our community.  We are excited to nurture the promising future of each our students, not only as excellent musicians but well-rounded citizens.

Mission

The Illinois Chamber Music Academy will use chamber music as a platform to unlock students’ ability and strengths producing opportunities for achievement in music as well as academic and social advancement. The ICMA provides a nurturing, and gratifying environment for each student. Through weekly professionally coached sessions with our faculty and guest artists, each student will receive individual attention while learning inspiring chamber music repertoire, developing their individual confidence and instrumental technique. In addition, performing in the larger chamber orchestra the students will experience working as a collective ensemble towards discovering the impact of building a strong community.

Vision

The Illinois Chamber Music Academy is a supportive, enriching, and exciting music education program for students in the Central Illinois region that provides professional coachings for students to achieve their highest level of performance with a commitment towards excellence.
